“I had some notion of taking Frater Achad‘s largely unknown essay, ‘Christ and the Master Therion’ and expanding it into a book length typescript, utilizing the enormous collection of Achad‘s unpublished letters [...] which, with judicious editing, could seamlessly expand the existing typescript of the essay into a book. But, I soon realized that the overwhelming, daunting but clear task at hand was to attempt a reconciliation between the most vital and current manifestations of Western Civilization‘s spiritual traditions, and those equally vital earlier, more tribalist currents of the Judeo-Christian heritage. I therefore expanded Achad‘s essay using a fraction of his own many related spiritual observations and insights, and included it here.” (T Allen Greenfield)
