Silver Star Volume 2 Issue 2 (call for papers)

The Horus/Maat Lodge is happy to announce that SILVER STAR Volume 2, Issue 1 (A JOURNAL OF NEW MAGICK) is online.

The editor is currently seeking material for SILVER STAR Volume 2, Issue 2!
Silver Star seeks to provide an open source and forum for all Sirius Adepts who will to share with their Brothers and Sisters the work and play of the Art Magickal. This uniquely eclectic Journal of the Mysteries maintains a focus on practical and theoretical essays, fiction, rituals, art and poetry that express The High Art: the countless aspects of the mystery and alchemy of the ‘Great Work’. Our focus is primarily, although not limited to, the realm of Thelema and the Double Current of Horus/Maat: “Love under Will”! Other currents (Tantrik, Shamanic, Chaotic, Wiccan, Voudon, etc.) are also very welcome. In the end, Silver Star is what our contributors and readers choose to make of it. Silver Star seeks to represent the widest possible spectrum of Magick and its practice as it is evolving now.

Publication date: Spring Equinox
Deadline: March 10th (if humanly possible!)

There is no payment for submissions except Good Karma and Undying Fame.
Authors and artists all retain their copyrights.

We request that submissions, if possible, be sent in MS WORD as attachments or as text documents (rich text is fine as well). Images as GIFs or JPGs, and please keep them reasonably small, memory-wise and size-wise! Also, please be very clear about the titles of your pieces and the names you want to be known by. Note that we do NOT edit for style, content, grammar or typos, we spend all our efforts getting up online; PLEASE send ready-to-print materials. In other words, all typos and grammatical errors are owned by their authors…

I opened by ringing the Bell once, drawing an Equal-Armed Cross in the air in front of me, enclosing the Cross in a Circle, drawing another Circle above my Crown horizontally and then anointing my Ajna with scrying oil (the oil was handmade and gifted to me by a rootworker/magician who is a close friend of mine).

Before me was the Sigil for Sirius that was adapted from Agrippa’s book and posted by kreese7 to the Horus/Maat Lodge list (see below). I then put on my headphones and began listening to Stockhausen’s Sirius. I obtained the audio file of the entire piece since the first session of my January Working, so this time I listened to about 20 minutes of it culminating with the Capricorn section. I opened myself up as a channel for Sirius transmissions to come through. I had visions of thousands of universes revolving around Sirius, and ours just one amongst them. I also had visions of Sirius sending Rays of (what seemed like) Dark Illumination to our Sun.

Session 1 - January 15th
2:08 AM EST

This Working was done over the course of two nights. Thanks to Ron and Donald, I was reminded to check the local time for the actual beginning of the Nu Moon. Searching the Internet, I found it was 2:11 AM Eastern Standard Time. I initially planned on doing the Rite after work on Friday the 15th (which would be about 11 PM EST), but as it was already close to midnight when I discovered the Nu Moon was coming into being at around 2 AM, I decided to stay up and do a preliminary activation of the Throne of Tiferet. I had about two hours to go, so I decided to spend it reading various supplementary materials. At 2:08 AM I got into my asana. I visualized first the Sun, then the Sun in my Heart radiating out. I am not normally inclined to use Hebrew Divine Names, but I was led to do so for this session. I attribute this (at least to some degree) to my participation these last few weeks in a Sabbatean Kabbalah study being facilitated by a Brother in free communion.
